Atlanta Fire United SA will be hosting our annual Recreational Summer Soccer Camp. The 2012 AFU Recreational Summer Soccer Camp will be June 11th-15th at George Pierce Park. There will be three options as to session times with a half day, full day and now a new full day extended camp session.

Atlanta Fire United SA would like to congratulate Danielle Marcano, Bria Mosley, Kalli Vogel, Maddie Burdick, Clara Gastaldi, Caroline Gualdoni, Jessie Sexton and Delaney Fechalos as they were all recently highlighted by GA Soccer for various selections to International Tour, Regional Tournament Play and even recently National Pool Events. We are very proud of these AFU players and look for nothing but more sucess for them and further AFU players in the near future.

Congratulation to the Atlanta Fire United SA U10-Girls Gold team coached by Gregg Tavani for winning the AFU Classic Tournament. The girls played up in the U11 Gold Division and won all four games to be the champions of the division. Great job girls!

Atlanta Fire United SA’s own Diego Manrique’s tremeandous high level of play showcased as the Region III Boys ODP sent five teams down to Mexico for a four-game series last week, which included games against Chivas, Atlas, and Tecos.

Atlanta Fire United Soccer Association will now be hosting Friday Striker Clinics, Free for all AFU members. Clinics will be run by our own Raul Diaz Arce and are aimed at not only improving shooting skills but also to help with improved finishing of oppotunities of our AFU forwards and/or attacking players. Clinics will be every Friday at Scott Hudgens Park #1 (4545 River Green Pkway NW, Duluth, GA) with two one-hour sessions: 5:30-6:30 PM and 6:45-7:45 PM.

Beginning Tuesday, April 17th, Atlanta Fire United SA will host an on-site Speed, Agility & Conditioning program that will run throughout the Fall/Spring Seasons. Sessions are FREE to AFU members only and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays at Scott Hudgens Park and Wednesdays at George Pierce Park.

Looking for some quality technical/developmental training before tryouts in late May, early June? Well, AFU has you covered with a 2 circuit of sessions aimed at technical/developmental training for players aged 12-15 (boys/girls). Sessions will take place on select Sundays througout April and May and will be run by our very own Raul Diaz Arce.
